A Maze in Grass 600x600 Fine sand from the Suffolk Breckland and Irish green earth

This is the old turf maze on the green at Hilton, a village near my home in Cambridgeshire. A monument in the centre indicates that it may have been created in the 1600s but it could be even older. I have replaced the monument with a simple pebble. Mazes like this have one simple pathway to the centre and were used as meditational walks by the devout and penitent, hence the reference to the hymn Amazing Grace in the title.
